Many colleges/universities are mindful of not over-throwing arms. Overall, I believe ISU is one of those. The fact that starters pitch once a week and relievers generally pitch once or twice a weekend and for an inning or so mid-week (like a bullpen session) is indicative of how the schedule favors arm rest. Unfortunately, in some years, the number of effective starters and relievers can lead to more appearances/innings for relievers.
 
Yes, no doubt the past season ISU situation (losing 3 SP's to injury) forced Coach Hannah's into the bullpen more than he desired. Do you have a list of current ISU players involved in Summer ball (team/location)?

The new admin has not kept up on that or the players in the majors. Kinda disappointing...especially with Manaea and Rea being on starting pitcher rotations!
