The Blue Level
Does anyone have any incite on when they plan on doing the upper seats in the Hulman Center? I love the Hulman Center but it's very painful to see those macaroni and cheese seats. I can't take it anymore!:verysad:

The current strategy of the athletic department is to maintain what we have for the next several years before we start making any capital improvements or new construction.
So we won't see a new track or football facility soon. New seats in Hulman Center would also be contrary to the current budget plan.
Don't look now but there are MANY things going on from the athletic department marketing-wise. It may not be lowering the price like CU did to $10 for two etc. but quietly tickets are getting distributed. 3-4 games ago, I had several friends that had access to MANY tickets being distributed by some company. Somebody on SP mentioned yesterday that another company apparently had bought 4000 tickets for the WSU game and of course, the Bally has bought 1000 for the drake game (the out-of-towner's game) and last but not least, serve-pro has bought "the house" for the last game of the season. those pre-paid promotions will help their attendence big time in the remain few games. instead of simply lowering he price, they selling in bulk so it would appear. bottom line, good work marketing people~~Along the lines of upper level seats, I thought this was a pretty good promotion that CU was doing...

...seems like it could possibly work for ISU as well? It's along the lines of what some of you suggested in the recent past. Two seats for $10 in the upper bowl. It's better than having those seats be empty and you get a little bit of money out of the deal. Maybe you get some borderline fans in the game to watch the Syc's and they like what they see...those people may just get season tickets the following year.
Not sure that is true for a new track. So we won't see a new track or football facility soon. New seats in Hulman Center would also be contrary to the current budget plan.
Something like that makes sense to me. The more people in HC the better. I guess the down side is making the people who paid full price for those tickers (maybe as season ticket holders) angry. I still think the more seats sold and filled the better for all concerned--better atmosphere and more exposure for the program.
