Iowa vs Baylor tonight at 9:00 for the NIT championship. It's significant that we played Iowa well in the first half of the opening game. Oh what might have been if we had played tough in the second half.

It sure is TeamSyc. First of all, we would have had the 2nd game at HC had we won with a whole lot of momentum on our part. Frankly, Iowa impressed the hell out of me in that game but we handled them so well in the first. Obviously we know what happened in the 2nd but that is a classic "What if" and we'll never know the answer. It was not our collapse, IMO that did us in in the second half but they played up to the level they were capable of and those fans just came on louder and louder and they fed on it. I then figured it was their tourney to win if they played to their ability. They'll be ALL over Baylor and I would be VERY surprised if they didn't win going away.
 
Baylor should win by 10+. They have twice the talent as Iowa, but rarely play to that potential. Should be a good game.
 
People seem to have doubted Iowa all year and they've continuously risen to the occasion.
 
Baylor's athleticism got the better of Iowa in the second half, sort of like our game against Iowa.

Z called it. I am not that smart when it comes to picking favorites. I wanted Iowa to win just because they beat us.
 
I liked the part where Knight and Rafferty were completely off topic late in the game, rambling about nonsense, and the play-by-play guy had to cut them off to note that May, Iowa's only senior, was leaving the game.

I've just seen a lot of Baylor games being in Big 12 country. They have top-10 talent, but Drew is such a horrible in-game coach that they rarely play to their potential. They can be a very dangerous team when they act like they care.

I'm not a Knight lover, but I find his TV presence less offensive. If I had the chance to eat dinner with either of them, I'd likely opt for a frozen pizza.
