Gotta Hav
The Wade Level
I went quickly through the schedule of all MVC teams and selected all of the games with P5 Schools and some others that might be of post season play importance.
With Creighton and Wichita State gone, it is even more important for the MVC to make some statements in Non-Conference play this year.
If MVC teams don't take down some big name opponents like Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana, Purdue, Duke, Northwestern, Wake Forest, Louisville, Ole Miss, Auburn, UNLV, Iowa State, Xavier and even Vermont; it won’t matter what the record of any MVC team is.

MSU Wow. The Bears do NOT have much of a non-conference schedule. Ouch. I mean really, go look at it. If MSU finishes the season 34-0 and wins the MVC and the MVC Tournament expect them to receive no better than a 12 Seed. And I wouldn’t put it past the selection committee to give them a 14 Seed at 34-0.
Don’t believe me, look at the screwing Wichita State received the last two tournaments. And if somehow, MSU goes 30-4 and loses the MVC Tournament, look for MSU to NOT receive an NCAA Tournament bid at all.

MSU is in a tournament @ Germain Arena with Penn, Manhattan, Northern Illinois, Towson, Florida Atlantic for whatever that's worth IF they win it.
Basically for the MVC to get out of the NCAA Selection Committee Dog House, MVC teams need to win what, 50% of its non-conference games against P5 schools…heck make it 80%, and any loss by an MVC school to a Hampton, Georgia Southern, Tulsa, Ball State, UIC, Eastern Illinois, or a Chicago State, etc. are ALL bad losses, and will be the death knell for the MVC again during tournament team selection and seeding.
