Haven't been on here for a few days to start a game thread. We've played them close the past couple of times, including an upset win last year. However I think they are much improved this season.

Since ISU and Eastern are both on the road today I decided to attend my very first Rose Hulman game. Rose is down 17-10 at halftime, so it's been a competitive game so far. Couldn't find the ticket office so I just walked in and no one stopped me, so their games must be free. D3 ball is decent, but there is definitely a huge talent gap compared to D1.

Looks like they are throwing down field. Like the start to spread the ball out. Patterson has a good arm with man to man coverage. Receivers needs to do a better job getting open with 1 guy on him.

And SDSU will be out for blood next week. Anything less than SDSU -40 bet the farm.

Presby lost so HCSE may not be quite as hot of a commodity. Still, if they win the PFL and/or make the playoffs he’ll still be looking at a bigger job and raise than ISU. If they happen to slip up and lose again and miss the playoffs ISU may be able to afford him and he might come here. This is me speculating of course….he may have already said no or Seth Hinshaw/Prez G. may have already said no to a HCCM buyout.

Yeah.... it's like they must enjoy wasting $$ (and losing) or something. It truly is unbelievable. I don't know about you but I like winning!!!

It’s not really even about winning for me. Sure if we were a .500plus program that averaged 6k a game I’d just let it ride. But for me it’s about investing in the ONLY sport that will raise our national profile. The ONLY sport that can lift our entire athletic department and university. We have a 1960s Cadillac sitting in our garage that needs a little bit of work but we keep dumping the money in a 2004 Honda civic…..
 
Not so sure about that, SDSU's starting QB didn't play last night, he's injured, my SDSU alum friends said they're a different team w/o him, and if he doesn't play this week then ISU should cover the spread, it'll be in the range of 30 points again though.

SDSU has a terrible D, the QB doesn't Play D or O-line which we were able to really expose, even with Mason That game Last night would not have been different.

They are ripe for the picking after a heavy emotionalgame...go get em guys!
 
SDSU line is out surprisingly early. -31.5 and ISU +3000. O/U 53.5.

If Mason is, in fact, out Saturday maybe I'll fade myself and bet the spread and tickle the moneyline and the over. I would expect a mentally-tough team that is #2 in the nation to come out swinging after losing to their biggest rival so badly....but if they are overrated as TJ intimates then maybe ISU can do some damage.

They're still #5 in the Coach's poll/T4 in the STATS poll.

I don't care how "overrated" SDSU is, they're still in all likelihood going to kill us. We're also down a starting QB. Our offense sucks, our defense sucks, we pretty much always suck more than usual on the road, and I seriously doubt that magically changes in Brookings. My only two hopes for the remainder of the season are that we play the Jailbirds competitively and that we beat Murray State. We sadly don't stand a chance against the Jackrabbits or the Penguins this year.
 
Perhaps if they would turn off the sound system during practice the players could listen to the coaches and pay attention to what they are supposed to be doing. Music, (I use that word loosely), blaring so loud that in the rural king parking lot I think someone has their car stereo blasting. That is not an environment condusive to learning.
