We're now under a month until actual basketball action. First game is our exhibition vs Rose. What do you guys want to see out of that tune up?

In no particular order:

1) No injuries

2) Frontcourt production - Will Thomas be the man now that he’s healthy and has a year under his belt? Will Kessinger show any improvement and/or confidence? Will Rickman be in shape to play significant minutes and take Murphy’s spot? Also interested in the rotations and whether we go small (1 PG, 3 wings and 1 big) with regularity.

3) Tyreke asserting his dominance. I would like to see him very aggressive on offense.

4) Big minutes from Williams and Neese. I believe they can play in the exhibition, correct? I’m excited to see how they fit and work with the other established players.

5) REBOUNDING. I’m concerned about this with our roster and want to see us be agressive on the boards.

I’m sure there’s more, but these immediately come to mind.

No injuries

I am also curious to see if we show any changes to our offensive schemes. If we play more small-ball, which our roster seems to indicate we will do, are we planning on playing a more up-tempo offense? I'm inclined to assume no based on the practice videos I've seen and with Lansing's history of the same motion offense year after year, but we have the horses and the roster makeup to get out and run-and-gun.

Agreed with the no injuries.

Huge lead at halftime so our bench players can get the lion's share of minutes in the second half.

Deep Three...

Ice Cube is a helluva promoter to get the NCAA to adopt the Big Three model. I look forward to the 4 point shot attempts by Barnes.

It's been a loooooong play. The legend of lore states he came up with it on a Friday, when he had no job and no shit to do.

There were rumors he may have been under the influence.

So far, two Valley teams have played exhibition games...

Loyola defeated Winona State 82-52 on 10/23.
UNI defeated Wartburg College 110-69 on 10/28.
