Doesn't appear UCLA played in any exhibition games since the played in China. In China, they went 3-0 and destroyed Tsinghua 116-68, Shanghai Jiao Tong 72-31 and Shanghai Sharks 92-63. They are going to post big match up issues with Indiana State and we will need spirited post play from Kitch and Gant to compete.

UCLA’s starters during the China trip were Kyle Anderson, Larry Drew II, Tyler Lamb, David Wear and Travis Wear. Anderson is a 6-9 point forward, Drew is a 6-2 guard, Lamb is a 6-5 guard and the Wear twins are both 6-10. Anderson was considered the #1 small forward coming out of HS this past year and rated 5 stars by pretty much every scouting service. Considered a Top 5 player nationally as well in the 2012 class.
 
This is our first game of the season and optimism is always at a peak. My heart says the Sycamores pull an upset..............but my head says we could suffer a Bruin beatdown. This is precisely the kind of team that could give us lots of trouble (big & athletic). Hoping for the best but won't throw in the towel no matter the outcome. Play the game and move on.
 
No matter the score I want to see effort and enthusiasm. It doesn't look good on paper but that's why we play the game anyway.

Personally, I'm tired of moral victories - they are for losers. However, looking at UCLA and ISU, I would probably be happy if we just put ourselves in a position where the game could go either way in the last five minutes. I want our guys to look like a legit D-I basketball team, not a bunch of boys playing a bunch of men. Does that make sense?

Oh yeah, and I don't want to see us shooting ourselves in the foot over and over again! Take care of the ball!!!

Strongly disagree. We want them at their best. He may be pretty good but I doubt he is the 2nd coming of anyone just yet. Don't want them to have any excuses if we happen to pull an upset.

Looking to see what Arop can do against this team. I love the athleticism of this new sycamores team. Can't wait to see how that translates to the court. Bones is back!
 
Want to see us win tonight but really I have no clue what to expect. K.Smith and Arop I have high hopes for as newcomers. Also eager to see Kitchell and if he has improved as much as some have said. He and Gant have to play really well tonight for us to have a shot.
