I lived in Newburgh during the era and followed the attempt to use Chandler Raceway (i.e. IN Health Dept refused to grant a permit to use a nearby DITCH for a mega-latrine). I had a few OX bros. that drove down Hwy 41 from TH, but I wasn't convinced that it wouldn't turn into a zoo. My expectations weren't far from reality...
