I think the men are disappointed in their 3rd place finish after such a great first day. I know it would have taken almost a miracle to beat UNI but I think they feel they should have taken home the 2nd place trophy. What will it take for ISU to stop UNI's conference winning streak? Almost seemed as if UNI could take on the whole MVC. They are that good!

I did see a lot of great Sycamore efforts during the meet. Truitt in the 100, Roberts in the hurdles, Bertoli in everything, Vaughn in the 1500 had a great kick. Those were a few that stood out to me on Sunday.

I am sure they are disappointed, I think the coaches probably are too. The women finished right where they were predicted, The men had 2nd in the bag and SIU came back in the last few events and snuck past them. It was disappointing even to me to watch SIU come back and take over 2nd place.

Noone was gonna catch UNI unfortunately. They were too deep this year. I was looking at roster lists. UNI does lose quite a bit. SIU loses very little. I am sure SIU will be the favorite to win all 3 titles for the men next year (CC, indoor track, outdoor track). ISU really loses alot of point scorers off this team, so hopefully there are some redshirts and good recruits waiting in the wings to pick up what will be lost.

ISU would have easily been 2nd if Jeramie Gray had run, his not being there quite possibly cost ISU 10-15 points. He ran 1 meet, a 10.57 100 meters, which would have probably won today. Oh well...
