Today @ our pool, I met the mother of the McGlocklin twins, who won the Trester Award back in the mid-70's for Franklin. One of the most pleasurable dialogues I've had in years...she's a '54 grad of Franklin HS, so naturally, Milan, Plump, et al filled the airwaves. We talked about the "other" McGlocklin @ IU...Van Arsdale teammates...and class basketball. So refreshing to meet "knowledgeable" Indiana natives so closely attached to the "mystique" that once existed. I thanked the sisters for having the HONOR to meet them. They both reside in the Maryland/D.C. area now. One of the McGlocklins is a Fed Ex pilot...not sure about the other.

What a great day BS! Too bad you couldn't video tape that discussion and post it here for all to enjoy. I'm sure that's a conversation you will never forget.

Seriously talking BASKETBALL w/ two ladies that clearly ENJOYED the dialogue...you can't buy that anywhere in today's Wal-mart!:)
I hope to see 'em again today...gonna focus on "Jon" and his NBA career. I guess one of her kids played college @ Butler - I told her I wouldn't hold that against her! They're looking at retiring down here in the Melbourne Beach/Doug Flutieville area.

Here's a refresher on Jon:

Nice Avatar Bank! It reminds me, I've got to get busy getting next years Southeast Sycamore Conference and Symposium organized.

Need more guest speakers, displays, and break-out sessions. Also, need to see about Conference location, or what Flordia cities are willing to offer the best deals for rooms, food, etc.

Can I send in a bid to be a speaker? I can be very insightful on certain subjects.

Played against the twins and their point guard gary abpanalap(sp) in the Columbus North regional in 1973. The twins were soph. that year still beat our Sr. dominated team.
