In the Maryland Illinois game Maryland runs a high screen and roll with the center often, the big man just came out for the high screen and roll and he slipped it before the guard even put it on the floor - it was a great play. I'd like to see Walker do that sometime - after awhile it gets predictable and I'd like to see some variation off of this. So much of it's put on Odum to create.

That said, this team cuts very well - we've seen several back cuts this year and most of time it's Odum distributing. I've seen Steve and Lathan both benefit several times already this season from good cutting. We average about 13 assists (as a team) on the season and that's not a bad.

When I played in high school we had a set where we would clear out the right side of the floor and our best athlete would start on the right block, cut up to the top of the 3 point arch while I drove to the left high post, I'd fake a pass then he'd back cut and I'd throw I'd throw an oop. All the oops last game reminded me of that play. They're fun to watch and I'd like to see Odum and Lathan run that play.

I'd imagine we dont run that set because Walker does not have the best hands in the world and asking him to catch the ball on the run and make a move is not a recipe for success. Walker seems to be comfortable catching it on a post up and thats about it. I do love the idea when Gant or RJ is in the game though, because both of those big have shown the ability to catch is on the move and do something good with it.
