Welcome back folks! We recently had the opportunity to catch up with 2012 basketball prospect, Junior Lomomba. Lomomba, a dynamic wing player out of Madison, Wisconsin, is currently having an excellent beginning to the Summer AAU schedule for his new AAU club, "The Family" out of Michigan. We gave him the standard "kicking the tires" questions just to get more familiar... hope you enjoy it.

SycamorePride.com: What is your current height and weight?

Junior Lomomba: I'm 6'4" and about 185 pounds.

SP: How did your recent high school basketball season go? Stats?

JL: My high school season went pretty well overall. I missed half of the season due to a hand injury, but managed to get back on the court. We lost in the championship game. I averaged somewhere around 11 points and 10 rebounds per game. I don't really know how many assists.

SP: Have you set any personal goals for your upcoming AAU basketball season?

JL: My goals for this summer are to get better everyday, receive more scholarships from college coaches and hopefully move up in the rankings.

SP: How would you describe your game? Are there any players (college or pro) that you try to model it after?

JL: I'm a guard who likes to get to the rim to score and create for my teammates. Lately I have been watching a lot of J'rue Holiday, Russell Westbrook and Tyreke Evans.

How will you improve it?

JL: Right now, I'm putting a lot of work to get my shot off faster.

SP: What do you feel is the strongest part of your game?

JL: The strongest part of my game is getting to the basket.

SP: Besides Indiana State, who else has offered you a scholarship?

JL: Xavier, Minnesota, Baylor, New Mexico State, Iowa, Tennesse and Nevada.

SP: What schools are recruiting you the hardest?

JL: All those school are recruiting me hard with the addition of Florida.

SP: Do you have any favorites, a Top 5 or anything like that?

JL: No, I don't have any top 5 at the moment.

SP: What kinds of things are you looking for in a school? Good academics, early playing time, specific system, etc?

JL: Good academics, early playing time, a good coaching staff, running system and a college where I know I will get pushed every day to be better are all things I'm looking for.

SP: What position are most coaches recruiting you to play at the next level?

JL: At the next level... Point guard or combo guard.

SP: Have you visited Indiana State yet? If so, what were your thoughts and impressions? If not, do you have plans to get over for a visit?

JL: No, I haven't visited Indiana State. I would be glad to visit the campus if the opportunity comes.

SP: What coach is handling your recruiting from Indiana State?

JL: Coach Darrell Cunnigham is in charge of my recruitment.

SP: Is there any pressure by your family to stay close to home?

JL: No, there isn't any pressure from my family to stay close to home. Theu just want me to be happy wherever I will be.

SP: Do you have a timetable set for your decision?

JL: I don't have a timetable set yet. I'm still enjoying the whole process and keeping my options open.

Would love to land this kid... hopefully Cunningham can work some magic as he's rubbing elbows with some very prominent programs for this kid.

Sounds like a good prospect. We're certainly in good company in recruiting him. Also sounds like he's open to Indiana State. Hope we continue to go hard after him...
