Anybody have any word on how Sean Manea is doing with Royals system? Ive ready articles a while back that seemed pretty promising for him.

Anybody have any word on how Sean Manea is doing with Royals system? Ive ready articles a while back that seemed pretty promising for him.

He was not invited to their major league spring training, but....I did see a report stating that his anticipated major league debut would be 2015....sooo...we'll have to wait and see. He'll either start the year in AA or AAA.

By the end of last season, he was listed as one of their top five prospects, so his future still looks bright.

Manaea came on really strong at the end of last season and ended up leading the Carolina League in strikeouts. Best case scenario: He should start in AA, be promoted to AAA mid-season and be in a position for a September call-up at the end of this 2015 season. If the Royals make the playoffs again you could see him making the postseason roster out of the pen like Brandon Finnigen did for us last year.

Sean's a big part of the Royals future, so they're going to take their time with him. He's still working on staying consistent with his command, but he's close.
