As a freshman, Ryan Roberts did a little bit of everything. He played some defensive in the Sycamore secondary. He played quarterback. He carried the ball over 100 times. He even returned kicks. When trying to describe his efforts, words like athlete, unselfish and multi-dimensional come to mind. For those efforts, the Missouri Valley Conference coaches took notice too in naming him to the Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Newcomer Team.

Heading into his sophomore season, Roberts is again showing his unselfishness by moving to yet another position, wide receiver. And like his over position moves, Roberts is taking it in stride. With a new quarterback with a cannon for an arm coming in and teammates gushing over Roberts athletic ability, there is a great chance the stars are lining up for a big season for the Sycamores in 2009.
