Former Indiana State and Terre Haute North tight end Jamie Petrowski suffered a left foot injury in the first quarter of Thursday night's NFL preseason game between the Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals.

Petrowski, who had two catches for 10 yards, was hurt after catching a short pass from backup quarterback Jim Sorgi. He was on crutches and wearing a protective boot on the foot after the game.

The injury could play a large factor in whether the 6-foot-2, 262-pounder ends up staying with the team. All league teams must trim their rosters to 53 players by Saturday afternoon.

I say more than likely they will cut him. Then, when his foot has healed, he will be brought back on with the practice squad.

Story of his career sadly.

I think he'd be better off moving to another team eventually. The Colts are pretty well stocked at tight end.

Like bent said the Colts are pretty set at the TE postion. This injury really kills any chance he had to make the Indy roster. I think it's likely he could end up somewhere like Cincy oh.
