The American side, or the Canadian side? If you're on the Canadian side, just bar, and food hop all the way to the Detroit Windsor Tunnel.

The nice thing about the Canadian side from my experiences in the early 80-s, if you purchased French Bread, Cheese, Salami, etc. along the way, the Bars on the Canadian side didn't care if you brought in your own food to eat.

Nope. Never been to that coast of Michigan. We typically go to Holland, Grand Haven and Sagatauck area every summer.

Enjoy it! I’m sure the fall colors will be in full display.

I've only been to Port Huron once, and that was to cross into Canada almost exactly 7 years ago, because it was Thanksgiving up there (their Thanksgiving is in October) when I went. Unfortunately I don't really have any recommendations for Port Huron, because I was just passing through. In my view it isn't really worth the hassle to cross into Canada for lunch or whatever anymore, which it doesn't sound like you were going to do that anyways.

Used to go to Canada almost every year, but haven't been since Covid. Currently planning on going back up there next summer to the western provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta (never been to any of those yet); as well as exploring more of the US states of Montana and North Dakota.
