Explain this to me like I'm a 4-year old....are they doing it because it will change over to advertising during the breaks in action?

And now they can sell little pieces of the old floor that fans will pay way too much money for!

That's an "old money-maker," noticed it dozens of time(s) over the years

I chuckle at the folks who have the "mini-Bryant-Denny Stadiums" on their bookcase... I hear they're a bitch to water and trim...

Yeah, I fully expect them to use it for dynamic advertising in the future. For example, think about free throws when you have captive audience and camera view. Just swap the SEC logo to a FT only sponsor.

Couldn't all of this be done now via TV inserts like we see in FB (first down line, line of scrimmage, arrows, etc)??

Of course, the miniscule number of fans in the arena do not see it, but the millions of consumers watching TV could.

School owns the inventory and not the production company.

At what point do we start requiring universities to put all this revenue toward education (you know, their alleged purpose)? Perhaps once beyond a certain level, you must put that money toward more scholarships, lowering tuition. It's that, or the NIL deals will continue to climb beyond sense and reason.
