It has been confirmed that former Indiana State defensive lineman Kevin Lynch unexpectedly passed away in his sleep a couple of weeks ago.
Kevin, who grew up in Chicago, played on the 1983 and 1984 Indiana State football playoff teams. His family and close friends are in the process of planning a celebration of his life later this month. Here is the information for those who might be interested in attending or in sending flowers.
Kevin was an outspoken, happy-go-lucky guy who was an integral part of the Sycamores' "Crunch Bunch" defensive unit during the mid-1980s. We're going to miss you!!!!!
"Javaris Cotton (Kevin’s son) & Ms. Mary (Kevin’s Mother) would like me to pass along this invitation. I have placed the event on my facebook page as well as on the Indiana State Black Alumni site through Quintin’s page. Please spread the word. They would like this to be a celebration of Kevin’s life. I am not sure what the program is but if you would like any input let me know and I can pass the word or you can contact Javaris."
Place: The Veteran's Center

Date: Saturday, November 21, 2009
