The Odum Level
Several news outlets reporting that the Pacers are in talks with the Celtics to trade for Rondo. Curious what everyone out there thinks.

Saw fan speculation that there could be a three-way deal with Paul to Boston, Rondo to Pacers and Collison back to NO. Other players would be involved as well with West also coming to the Pacers.

I know if we get both Rondo and West somehow we are giving up Paul George in that trade. It's a bad deal if so...

West is a free agent. I dont really want to sign him as a free agent but I really would hate to see us give up players in order to get him.

Already being discussed in the NBA Thread....Sounds like it might not happen oh because Chris Paul says he won't sign a long term deal with Boston.

Remember all the fuss a year ago about Paul and Anthony and Stoudemire saying they wanted to form a dream team in NY? That was before Anthony even got there. These elite players can now control where they go. Kind of stinks for the fans of small market teams, which is most of the teams in the NBA.

Anyone else think Rondo is the same type of PG Odum is? A pass first player who doesnt have a great shot but does everything else well. Can rebound, defend, and pass as well as any PG in the league. Also he has that toughness JO has to go with it. Odum is not where near Rondo's obv. but I think they have the same skill set.

The difference is Rondo's athleticism. I actually think JO is much closer to Steve nash than Rondo, when Nash came in tot he league he didn't have that outside shot So he set-up guys in other ways.
I actually think JO could play in the NBA, great passers are rare and if they can defend well, that's even more rare.
