Coach Hannah's has finally found the front half of his batting order, as #1 Friis goes 4/5 and #2 Tofteland continues his long ball touch by clearing the fence TWICE (2) today. In 2 weeks, he's corked 7 HR's since earning the RF starting role.

Not sure what happened to Chris Ayers. I'd still have him in LF over Moore any day. He needs to LAY OFF of that high heater when he's at bat, which would lower his SO's by 75%.

# - Good to see 5 innings of 2-hit relief pitching from Larrison & Conway - gotta have this EVERY game for ISU to have any chance of winning the MVC post-season.

Sycs go for the SWEEP in the next GAME #3 in today's DH.

Game #3 - ISU 4 Bradley 1 - Sweep! Led by Friis' 4/4 & Tofteland's 2-run double. Keaffaber w/ the save of Kincanon, who threw 2 hit ball for 7 innings before tiring. Good to see JC transfer catcher Ryan Tolliiver go 2/4 w/ an RBI in the DH role. Looks like he's starting to get into the "swing of things" about the right time, as ISU rapidly approaches the MVC Post-season Tournament scheduled for Springfield, MO. The current starting catcher (Bifano) BA has continued to drop (.217) after an early season flash, and such is a BIG LIABILITY in the stretch run for an NCAA bid. 1Ber Zahn's BA is similarly mired in "leaking boat" just over .200. Coach Hannahs MUST plug these holes or risk further sinking.
