At Vanderbilt?? That's the big game?? Man, I sure hope we have some home games this next season

Vandy is a good game on the road. They're going to be pretty solid next year and will be a very tough opponent for ISU. Hopefully we can get one other big-time BCS school on the schedule (Notre Dame, Purdue last year) and play a few better mid-majors to boost the RPI a bit.

All the same, they just need to play better in the non-conference portion this season regardless, which I don't think will be too much of an issue.

better Vandy than a East, West ky or michigan... OR Chicago State...

Good get for Ron and Greg

Exactly. Then throw in the possibility of 2 or 3 BCS schools in Orlando and it's pretty good scheduling. :basketball: :basketball:

I agree it's a good game, I was just hoping it'd be a home game, last year's road heavy non-con schedule seemed to backfire prior to the MVC season.

Yeah; that home and home with NC State (opening on the road for them)
would have been a good series for us.

NC State has a ton more MBB history/tradition than Vandy BUT Vandy's ok; in T-H would have been the cherry on the sundae

Any time the Trees can get a game with a potential top 25 team we must take it. On the road is better than not at all. This will be great preparation for the Valley season and rpi boost.

ISU - Vanderbilt series

stands at 1 - 1

we lost there in Dec 1981 (66 -72); 9-18 on the season, Hodges' last season
we won at home in 1984 (88-77); 14-15 on the season, Schellhase's last season...

Good grief; let's hope win or lose it's not Lansing's last season!
