The Kansas City Royals selected Indiana State left-hander pitcher Sean Manaea with the 34th overall selection of the 2013 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft in early June and came to an agreement with the 6-foot-5 southpaw on Friday, June 21, as Manaea chose to forgo his senior season on the mound with the Sycamores to begin his professional career.
