Last year they had ushers preventing people from sitting in season ticket holder area. Was not happy about not getting my favorite seat. So this year I bought 6 season tickets so I could sit where I wanted, would not have to hurry in before game, and to support Sycamore Football. Yesterday got to seats about 1:15, stadium already filling up nicely and found that others were already in my seats and no ushers. Instead of making a fuss we found other seats. Point is with all the push to sell season tickets they need to fix this issue. Also, I don't know how it happened but there were some Butler Fans right in middle of season ticket sitting area. Great crowd yesterday.

this was our 1st game at ISU, we picked up our tickets at the player/will call. we specifically asked about the seating arrangement and were told at the ticket office that the seating was general seating? We also saw people who had the same issue as you did. sounds like they need to fix this asap. I am sure we were in someones seats yesterday as well.

When we arrived there was someone sitting in one of our 4 seats. I did say something to him, but I also said that it was ok as long as we didn't have a sellout. He thought the seats were for handicapped people. His handicap wasn't noticable. We will try to arrive earlier next time.

I am also a parent of two playing and could have saved the dollars on buying tickets and taken my 8 comp tickets but last year AFTER FIRST GAME THEY STARTED ENFORCING SEASON TICKET SEATING, so I bought season tickets to avoid seating issues and other reasons stated.

It's all a good problem to have. Two and three years ago, when there were 200-500 people in the stands for the late season games, seating wasn't an issue. Nor has it ever been at any of the away games, of which I've only missed 2 in the last 4 years. As a player parent, I would like to see better seats (not general admission) for the family comps like they do at most schools, but I also buy season tickets every year for other family members. Last year was the first time we had ever been asked about our tickets, and it was only a couple of games. As the crowds get consistently larger, they will have to figure this out, but, if nothing else, consider your season tickets a "donation" to the football program.
