I've had JMV on since about 3:05 and it sounds like they were never able to get in touch with Shakir. Is that correct or did I just miss his interview?

? ? ? ? ?

OK -- I'm clueless .................Bell is suppose to be on Indy radio right after 3:00 PM today. Good PR for him ..................ISU .......... recruiting ............. you name ...................and Bell is a no show ? ? ?

Doesn't fit with what we've come to expect from Bell and the ISU football team ......... maybe just what we've come to expect from ISU though.
Anyone know what happened ?

And I don't think you need to drop everything to be on a radio show. Yes, it's great when it works out, but I wouldn't assume this was Bell, the Team or the university's fault.

JMV did say near the end of his show that Bell had sent an email and he would likely be on the show on Friday. The whole point is that interview on Indianapolis radio with an ISU football player should have been set up with the coach's approval, the Athletic Dept's knowledge, and of course the player knowing when and if he can do it. If something had come up you'd think JMV would have been notified ahead of time. It just sounded disorganized and didn't present the best PR image for us.

Excellent points--all interview requests should be sent through the athletic department or football office. The individual social media has no place when it comes to the Indiana State football team (and its players).

It's the radio shows responsibility to get it scheduled properly, not the university or player's. They have people whose job is to line up interviews.

Rather he did his thing on the field tomorrow and THEN talked about it..............................
