Shoemaker on the DL

Shoemaker had boosted his batting average to a solid .273 by going 10-of-32 over a 10-game span from Aug. 6-15. However, Shoemaker suffered an oblique strain that landed him on the 7-day Disabled List effective on Aug. 16. He's eligible to come off the DL on Aug. 23.

FYI-Over the weekend, 5 Sycamore Alumni were reunited. Brady Shoemaker, Nick Ciolli, Jake Patricka and Jason Van Skike play for the Winston-Salem Dash, a High A affiliate for the Chicago White Sox. The Dash played against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Ryan Strausborger is on the Pelicans. Go Sycamores!!
