Sophomore James Officer looking to become next great ISU center

Last season, Aaron Jelovic filled in at center for 2013 Second-Team All-MVFC center FN Lutz III. Jelovic himself earned second-team honors in 2014, and current Sycamore sophomore center James Officer is hoping to repeat history for Indiana State in 2015.

Very good article and Officer was very solid for us as a true freshman last year.

Between Officer and Levingston, I hope we keep going to the well at Cathedral. That should be an Indianapolis pipeline for us.

Yep, I noticed that as well. Wonder if the injury was a career ender. I've got to think he may be gone with the sheer number of OL we brought in.

Other roster observations:

Miles Thomas WR no longer on the team, one of our better receivers last year.
Marlon Fleming the promising running back who got injured very early last ,not on the roster.
Jordan Jackson must have gotten a medical red shirt, I believe this will be his 6th year??
Obviously Matt Adams was not ever welcomed back and or never got his grades up, he would have had 2 more yrs.

I thought James did a solid job but he played a bit "chubby" at 335lbs, looked like he enjoyed the cheap pitchers of beers at the bally LOL, would been more effective at 310lbs, I liked both of his backs ups from last year, although the one kid from TX, whose brother played for ISU, needs to gain some weight, 275lb is too lite for the MVC. The 6'10 kid from PA, I noticed is still at 265 lb , his frame could handle 315lb easily. I assume it's not all updated from last year.

I did notice that all (or almost all) of the underclass defensive and offensive line are still on the roster. OLine has a lot of redshirt Sophmores so I understand why they were happy to get the transfer from East Carolina(?)
