Crazier things have happened. I was pretty surprised Lansing was talking with Drake last year as well especially when he had most of his team coming back. Are u aware of his past connections there?

Lansing seems pretty happy here. Sure hope he don't go. Sometimes it's not about the money. Hopefully he stays. I'd be happy if he stayed another 10 years.

That might well be a real possibility. Lansing has a lot of contacts up there and Knight was recently in town and dining with Lansing!

Going to "quote" myself, because I was joking. I thought Simmons going was only slightly more absurd than Lansing... I guess if you have to explain it - it ain't funny.

Two Absolutes: (1) I never said he would be interested in leaving his current position for South Dakota and (2) I now know--from a reliable and confidential source that he has been contacted by SD and the position was discussed but he is happy and content with ISU at this time!
