Doug McDermott from Creighton has won StatSheet's Missouri Valley Player of the Week for January 7th. Northern Iowa's Seth Tuttle has been recognized as StatSheet Missouri Valley Freshman of the Week. And last but not least, Creighton's Ethan Wragge is the StatSheet Missouri Valley 6th Man of the Week. McDermott registered 50% shooting, 20 points per game, and 9 rebounds per game. The Creighton junior put these numbers up in wins against Illinois State and Indiana State.
McDermott totaled 15 points and 9 rebounds in 35 minutes in a 79-72 win over Illinois State. He followed that up by leading the team in scoring and rebounding with 25 points and 9 rebounds in a 79-66 win over Indiana State.
This is a familiar honor for Doug McDermott, who has been selected StatSheet Missouri Valley Player of the Week three times. The runner-up this week is Creighton senior Gregory Echenique. Honorable mention goes to senior Grant Gibbs from Creighton. Jake Odum was the highest ranking player from Indiana State, finishing fourth.

Seth Tuttle averaged 36 minutes of playing time while starting both games for Northern Iowa. His averages in scoring (21.5 pts per game), rebounding (8.5 per game), and free throws (3.5 per game) topped all Missouri Valley freshmen. In a 65-61 loss to Indiana State, Tuttle led all scoring and rebounding for the Panthers with 24 and 10 respectively. Following that in a 70-60 win over Illinois State, he led scoring with 19 points and rebounding with 7.
Amazingly, Seth Tuttle has won the StatSheet Missouri Valley Freshman of the Week 3 times. The runner-up is Joey King from Drake. Egidijus Mockevicius from Evansville receives honorable mention. Khristian Smith was the highest ranking freshman from Indiana State and finished 4th.

In the win against Illinois State, Wragge took the lead in scoring for the Bluejays with 18 points on 60% shooting. After that, in the win against Indiana State, he racked up 9 points and 2 rebounds.
This is Ethan Wragge's first StatSheet Missouri Valley 6th Man of the Week award this season. Avery Dingman, a sophomore guard from Creighton, is the runner up. Zeke Upshaw, a junior guard from Illinois State, receives honorable mention. Indiana State has won the StatSheet Missouri Valley Player of the Week award 2 times this season.
