StatSeed is StatSheet's postseason projections for all of Division I, including the NCAA Tournament, National Invitation Tournament (NIT), College Basketball Invitational (CBI), and the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT). Read more about how StatSeed is calculated.
StatSheet now projects Indiana State as an NIT eight seed. The Sycamores are ranked #76 in the StatSheet StatRank with a 17-13 overall record and a 9-9 record in the Missouri Valley.
During its last four games, Indiana State picked up a win against Iona but also suffered losses to RPI #96 Evansville and RPI #42 Wichita State and a bad loss to RPI #125 Drake.
Indiana State is underwhelming against top competition, with a 7-6 record against the RPI Top 100 but a 3-5 record against the RPI Top 50 and a 1-1 record against AP ranked teams. While the Sycamores have three quality wins including RPI #35 Creighton, RPI #42 Wichita State, and AP #5 Miami (FL), they're dinged by seven bad losses including RPI #125 Drake (2 losses), RPI #169 Bradley, RPI #208 Missouri State, RPI #121 Illinois State, and RPI #183 Southern Illinois.
The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Alabama (19-10, 11-5 SEC, StatRank #61), Boise State (20-8, 8-6 Mountain West, StatRank #39), Virginia (20-8, 10-5 ACC, StatRank #58), and Baylor (17-12, 8-8 Big 12, StatRank #60).
The first four teams out are Maryland (20-9, 8-8 ACC, StatRank #70), St. John's (16-12, 8-8 Big East, StatRank #72), Southern Miss (22-7, 11-3 Conference USA, StatRank #46), and Temple (21-8, 9-5 A-10, StatRank #51).
The next four out are Arkansas (18-11, 9-7 SEC, StatRank #71), California (20-9, 12-5 Pac-12, StatRank #41), La Salle (20-7, 10-4 A-10, StatRank #45), and Wichita State (24-7, 12-6 Missouri Valley, StatRank #43).[TABLE="class: tablepad"]

Creighton as a 13 seed is a joke. If that were to happen the 4 seed that would have to play them would be pissed. Dont see too many 13 seeds with a consensus All American and a regular season conference title from a top ten conference. I see Creighton as more of a 7-10 seed.
