Hawking: Aliens may pose risks to Earth
Astrophysicist says extraterrestrials likely exist, but could be dangerous.

LONDON - British physicist Stephen Hawking says aliens are out there, but it could be too dangerous for humans to interact with extraterrestrial life.

Hawking claims in a new documentary titled "Into the Universe With Stephen Hawking" that intelligent alien life forms almost certainly exist — but warns that communicating with them could be "too risky."

Not to belittle Dr. Hawking but; isn't it entirely possible that any 'aliens' could be carbon-based life forms such as ourselves??

Not a Scientist but I'd LOVE for someone to explain WHY homo sapiens couldn't / wouldn't evolve on another 'earth-like' planet?

Why is it; any alien HAS to be a methane-breathing OctoPod with four arms and 2 heads w/ 4 ears per head??

Uh oh, I can't believe I'm about to take part in this thread but....

I'm with ya, there could absolutely be "humans" on other Earthlike planets. However, Earthlike planets are probably too far away for "humans" to travel to and from our galaxy.

Interesting that he's willing to account for numerous variables when it applies to how they look, but assumes they would behave much the same way we might if we were starved for resources. Who is to say that's their situation? Sounds to me like the physicist has watched a little too much sci-fi in his life. Leave questions about how the aliens might behave to the psychologists and the sociologists.

Wooden never left, Bird won two national titles for us and we dropped Butler from our schedule, long, long ago!:)

Oh, and our football team has the nation's longest winning streak!!!
