I'm surprised to see the Ravens doing this well. I've never seen a team live off of the deep ball like they do. Flacco just throws it up and his guys come down with it. It's worked for them all post season.

I think they threw THREE long bombs against us. It truly does look like a team of destiny. I have said it in every game I have watched them play.....he can't keep throwing those for catches....and he does it again and again and again. They are the real deal.

Kaepernick has looked awful, too. He's made a few good plays, but has to grow up super fast for them to come back. Baltimore's offensive line deserves a great deal of credit, too. They're giving Flacco all day on most downs.

I did appreciate Nantz referencing the Colts comeback against the Patriots in the 2007 AFC championship game. Let the Baltimore fans think about that during the half.

Loved the 34 min power blackout...LOL...so much for post-Katrina New Orleans & U.S. "high tech." It's about time they built a new Superdome w/ some of that leftover Katrina $$$, or is most of it now in Switzerland banks? That place looks rundown...did they ever add A/C?

Terre Haute should bid on hosting a Super Bowl...re-open up the gaming houses & pool halls, activate the houses of ill-fame, close down the TH Police Dept for the weekend and keeping the bars open 24 hrs/day would resolve 75% of the needs.

Sounds like the 'Haute was ahead of its time back in the dayz...

The Saints ownership was trying to force the city to build a new stadium by threatening to move to San Antonio prior to Katrina. I think the time has come though for people to start expecting more of the city. They definitely have no business hosting events as big as the Super Bowl if they can't keep the power on. If you're going to beat up Dallas for the snow storm, New Orleans should receive even more criticism for the blackout.

That Dallas Stadium is 1000% ahead of the "Snooperdome"...wonder if anyone was mugged during the blackout? :shocked2:

I wouldn't lose any sleep if Louisiana sank into the Gulf and California slid into the Pacific...talk about a burden being lifted from America.:tumbleweeds::tumbleweeds:

Thought my personal resident expert on all sports triva, BankShot, might let me know if the post-game experts commented on this:

Article 10.2.4(a) of the NFL rulebook spells it out: "After a fair catch is made, or is awarded as the result of fair catch interference, the receiving team has the option of putting the ball in play by ... a fair-catch kick (drop kick or placekick without a tee) from the spot of the catch."

Article on today's Slate spells out that there was an outside opportunity that fizzled to use this play (a leftover from rugby rules).

Nantz and Simms were talking about it before the free kick, but the kick went to about the 49ers' 20, so it wasn't going to happen. You'd be looking at a 80 to 90-yard attempt. I was surprised the 49ers didn't do a better job of setting up a return (trying to keep the play alive with lateral tosses).
