ISU freshman Katie Wise just ran 11.48 in heat 1 of the women's 100, she was 7th and will not advance to the final. She's a freshman, so has an awesome future!

Dustin Betz ends the day for ISU with a 23rd place finish in the steeplechase. No Sycamore advanced today

Pounds moves in to 15th place on his 2nd throw, only top 12 make finals. 203-03"

Pounds throws 203-00 on his last throw and that will not be enough to make the top 12 and the finals, so his career at ISU has come to an end. He had a great career, just a disappointing end today.

Brandon ends the hammer throw in 16th place today, his best toss was 203-03" He needed a 207-03" to make top 12.

ISU's Greggmar Swift is in heat 1, right after this last heat of the women's hurdles. ESPN3 for live coverage

Swift runs 13.51, and is 3rd, so we wait to see if he advances on time. Top 2 from each heat, then next 2 fastest make the finals. He has a shot.

Swift makes the finals! So ISU will not be shut out of the NCAA championships!
