this will be an interesting meet to say the least, I agree with Bradley being the favorites to win both races, for them to lose they'd need to have disastrous races on both sides. They've been running well all year and have a very close pack from #1 thru #5 runners
on the men's side for ISU to get 2nd we're gonna need whoever is our #5 runner to have the race of his life, We're strong at 1, 2, and 3, #4 has gotten better as the year has gone along, but our 5th has just been too far back at the races we've run so far. So we really need those guys at 5-6-7 to step up and do well Saturday. Otherwise ISU could finish as low as 6th, and we don't want that.
Of course John Mascari will be trying for his 4th straight MVC title, which I don't think has ever been done, he will have company up front as there are some very good runners in the conference who will try to stay with him Saturday.
It's safe to say Drake, UNI, and UE will fight it out for the bottom 3, they just have no depth at all.
For our women, they've gotten better with each race, picking them 5th is about right at this point, but if they can get their 2-5 runners closer to Taylor Austin at #1 then it's not out of the question they could finish top 3. I know they will be trying for the win, but they might just be a year away from being serious contenders to place first. They're young and hungry to do well so hopefully they run fast Saturday and get in that top 3.
