Wow they named the promtional event after us! lol There is no reason not to be pushing 9,000 for this game but like I've said in several other threads it will depend on the game against Creighton

A free ticket is a free ticket. I think the turnout will be good no matter what we do against Creighton. I don't know if it'll be as loud as the game against MSU, but it's imperative that the fans show up and support the team against Wichita State. We HAVE to protect our home court and win that game. It'll be as close to a must-win as we've had all season.

I think this weekends game against the Jays is our biggest "must win" game of the season. If we drop our third straight watch for the students and bandwagon fans give up on this team. Plus before last nites game our guys were as confident as they could possiable be so I'm hoping the loss last nite serves as a wake up call.

This is a great chance for fans that haven't seen this team play, by giving them a free ticket for bringing a canned food. It's a great idea to get fans on the seats, but I don't expect a big crowd at all after that loss to UE. I heard numerous fans last night, say that they weren't coming back until ISU learned to win.

What a joke! "...until they learn to win..."???? Give me a freakin' break! They just had a six game winning streak. They lost in TRIPLE OVERTIME at the toughest place to play in the league. Geez, people need to get over themselves. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Right up there with the two old guys who were in front of me in line to get into Hulman Center to welcome the 1979 team back from Salt Lake City who said, "They never were that damned good anyway..."

Let's be honest, that loss last night is going to hurt attendance for the rest of the year. They played terrible. They lost the fringe fan and the students in the upper sections who didn't seem to care that much anyway. Somehow they are gonna have to get the students excited again before the WSU game. It will not be easy.

ISU is going to need some extra help to get the crowd back up to where it should be. The crowd wasn't even that big last night, of course many people must have thought like the players that they had the game won before they played it, and WTWO had to put the game on TV.

I honestly believe a win at Creighton will bring them back on Tuesday. A win over both CU and Wichita State might result in the biggest crowds yet this year. Don't even want to think about an L in either or both. How they bounce back will be a big statement on this team's character--I happen to believe they will get the job done.

I'm not too shocked at what Landrus overheard and, to be honest, I'm not surprised. It may be dumb, but Terre Haute is about is very fickle about ISU. I believe that if you look up fair weather fan in the dictionary, a picture of Terre Haute is next to it. ;)

I agree. Its not so much that we lost, it is the way we lost. Its one thing to lose an exciting, back and forth contest where both teams are making plays and giving it all they have. Its another to lose like we did with a painful display of basketball that gives the average fan no reason at all to be excited.

Hey now...those two (2) old dudes might've been grandfathers of a couple of our OFC members. Respect your elders...:sycamores:

On 2nd thought, they might've been CURRENT OFC members!
