Sycamore Track To Face Ranked Teams, Individuals At Auburn Track Classic

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State outdoor track & field season continues this weekend as the Sycamores hit the road for the Auburn Tiger Track Classic which will be held Friday and Saturday (Apr. 5-6) on the Hutsell-Rosen Track on the campus of the University of Auburn. The meet is not scored.

the meet is underway tonight at Auburn, field events today. Brandon pounds starts ISU out on a winning note, he won the Hammer throw, going 213-05". That is the 7th longest throw in the nation so far.

Chris Fields was 8th, Justin Applegate 13th

women's hammer throwers had an off day, Johnson fouled all 3 times and Theisen was last.

some updates from the meet today. In the women's pole vault, ISU went 3-4-8, with Rudolph setting a new PR of 13-05.25.

Maurice Lyke was 2nd in the LJ at 24-04.5"

Kalli Dalton was 4th in the women's 1500

Hahn and Adams were 5th and 13th in the men's 1500, both under 4 minutes

Weatherford led the women in the 100 meter hurdles, placing 8th

ISU men placed 3rd, 6th, 11th, 14th in the men's hurdles, led by Greggmar Swift

Shaun Smith was 12th in the 100 in 10.69

3 ISU women were under 12 seconds in the women's 100

Leann Michl was 2nd in the women's 800 in 2:07.91

Weatherford 5th in the women's 400 meter hurdles, ISU had 4 run

men's 400 meter hurdlers did well. Tuttle and Jackson go 3-4, Skamay and Shaw go 15-16.

Camble 15th for the women in the 200

Baxtron and Smit under 22.00 in the men's 200

men's steeple, Taylor Head with a very good 9:17.33 for 4th, very good for a freshman, Ocasio was 9:39.49

ISU women 4th in the 4 x 400 meter relay with a near school record 3:40.31, that is VERY good folks
