both the men's and women's team will be running later Friday afternoon in the "B" section races at Notre Dame, this is the first time in many years the men's team has been relegated to the "B" race. The "A" races are first in the afternoon, where all the top teams will be racing.

no notes from the ISU site yet, but here is the ND release with teams in each race

It seems to be somewhat of a down year for the Sycamores, based mainly on what I has learned here. Am I, in your opinion, correct and is the B race appropriate?

correct, it may be a bit of a down year for ISU in cross country, we'll see how tomorrow afternoon goes?

the women are done at Notre Dame, ISU was 7th in the B race, Bradley won, UNI was 5th, ISU was 14 points behind UNI, so not too far. Illinois State, Loyola, and SIU were behind our Sycamores

Brooke Moore had an outstanding run, placing 4th in 17:18, if we can get the rest of the girls up with her we'll be in great shape come time for the MVC meet

the men are running now

the men are done, ISU was 9th in the B race, IUPUI was 3rd, Illinois State was 7th, Loyola 11th, UNI 14th, and SIU 21st.

I think the entire MVC, except Bradley, they're REALLY good as they were 10th in the A race today, is down. So maybe if our guys get better we can place top 5 at the MVC meet.

Akis Medrano led ISU with a 24:52 time, respectable, but our other guys were way back, the gap between 1 and the rest of the team was quite large. Also noticed Dave Timlin either didn't run or dropped out, so we'll see what happened there? He's expected to be our top runner this season.

Moore and Medrano lead as Sycamore women finish seventh, men ninth in Gold Races at N

Amid two superb individual performances from sophomores Brooke Moore and Akis Medrano, Indiana State cross country finished seventh and ninth in women's and men's competition, respectively, at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational on Friday afternoon.

update on David Timlin, our top runner, he was with the lead pack most of the race, then had bad cramps and jogged in, he was the last runner in. Had he stayed where he was we'd probably have been in front of Illinois State.
