Game at 3:00 ET. It's also going to be live locally on WTWO. Hopefully the Trees can help the Aces continue their poor season and take one from them down in E-Ville.

the sycamores opened as a 1 1/2 point favorite in vegas. got a bad feeling about this one. hope the boys make me feel better and come out strong in the 1st half.

I see a UE "upset"...they're pretty healthy now, and their frosh are no longer "fresh" at this point in the season.

Hope that Lathan can give us some healthy minutes...seems to add the right flavor to our team balance & initiative.

Taking this road game would REALLY help in terms of not playing Thursday night. We need the win badly. You have to win the games you're supposed to win.

There is NO excuse to lose this game. If we lose this one, we're certainly bound for Thursday night again. We are better than Eville, and the team just needs to play their game. If we can keep from falling in a hole, and spotting them a 15 point lead, we should be fine.

I'm curious to see how much "learning" Simmons had during the initial matchup, and whether or not he's capable of adapting his X's & O's. A big loss today will weigh heavily on his removal after the season, as the Aces supporters are NOT happy campers...especially leading into the construction of their new $150m downtown arena.

Crowds of 4,500 won't pay the bills!

A loss at Evansville this season would be totally unacceptable and would probably be an absolute ticket to the play-in in St. Louis. No reason, absolutely no reason to lose to the Aces this time around. Our experience should out-weigh any homecourt edge they might have. Evansville is a bad team going nowhere.

Lock 'em down defense and quick ball movement for open 3's will doom the Aces.

this is a MUST WIN game, nothing else needs to be said, lose and ISU is playing on Thursday in St. Louis. Book it! Win, and there's a shot to get outta that Thursday game!

Shameless self-promotion

Hey guys and gals. Figured this was as good a place as any to let everyone I am still live blogging despite the fact my regular Down In The Valley blog is in some sort of computer server hell limbo.

I've been told by the higher-ups Down In The Valley will need to be moved or revamped anyway as our main website is going to undergo a redesign.

So for the time being, I am blogging on the tribstar.com website itself. The live blog is at

Thanks for reading. Enjoy the game.

Another game without Dwayne Lathan spells disaster for the Sycamores. We have struggled with him on the bench.

As much as we need this game, we need Lathan to be as close to 100% as possible in St. Louis. We should be able to win this game without him.

Also, thanks for the update on the blog Todd!

dreadful start shooting for ISU, good thing we're playing Evansville or we'd be in a deep hole already

12-5 UE leads, well, at least we're in our usual hole

Well, it's a good thing we didn't come out flat again. Ooops, I guess we did. Some things just never change...:violent:

21-18 UE with 5:30ish left in the first half. We can't shoot worth a crud but we're playing decent D.
