With the NFL lockout now over does anybody know if any of the current Sycamores in the NFL are going to be free agents or what Darrius Gates' chances are of being signed to a 90 man training camp squad?

I doubt he gets signed but he reminds me soooo much of Pats running back Kevin Faulk. Hopefully he makes a teams training camp roster. TJ could fill us in more depth.

Is Petrowski still signed with Carolina?
I think Petrowski was released by Carolina....
he was playing in the UFL, but that league has been put on hold. As for Gates, he might get a looksee as a return specialist. His size hurts him as a running back in the NFL. But if given an opportunity, he could wind up impressing somebody. Kevin Faulk is a little bulkier.

What happened to Bryant Kent?
Graduated. Not sure BK is even looking for opps in the NFL. On the Gates subject I think that he is just a complete back who can do all manners of things, alot like Kevin Faulk.

was that pre- or post-lockout?
Do you think he'll catch on with someone else?
At one time, time on practice squads worked against you -- i.e. at some point you had to be on the 53-man roster...
Anyone know if that was considered under the new CBA?
