Oct. 17 Indiana State at Illinois State (MVFC Game of the Week) -- 2 p.m. CT

For the 11th-straight season, the Missouri Valley Football Conference is coordinating an in-house television package. The games will be produced for syndication on over-the-air and cable television stations throughout the Midwest. Each of the five conference-produced games will air live or taped on FS Midwest and Fox College Sports (FCS), which has a national distribu­tion of seven million homes. Comcast SportsNet Chicago will also air select games of the league package.

Maybe one of the local stations (2, 10, 38) could step up and show this game. I think maybe I could live without the weather radar for a couple hours.

Channel 2 (WTWO) usually airs a game or two during the season if I recall.

Exactly. Makes no sense. If anything, home games should be dark and they should televise road games.

my take on televising games.....

my takes has always been.....even when i worked at isu...road games should be live broadcasts...home games should be tape-delayed.....like 11:30 p.m. on a saturday night....or 9 a.m. on a sunday morning......much like channel 4 in indy does with colts pre-season games.....or channel 6 in indy does with the indy 500.......

i would also like to see something like wichita state used to have and i assume that they still do....try and get time-warner to provide a channel for indiana state-only content on the cable system.....they called it shocker-vision.....

and carry isu athletic events, coaches shows, athlete-produced content...maybe even old game broadcats from channel 10 and channel 2...of isu football and basketball....replay the espn game broadcasts of isu's 1986 college world series games with florida state and oklahoma state.....stuff like that.....

as well as programming produced by the radio-tv department at isu...let the students run the channel.....promoting the university as a whole...with shows about various aspects of the university and student-life.....various majors....etc.......sort of like a mini-big ten network.....i like what they do with promoting other aspects of the various colleges in the big ten beyond athletics.....

that's my idea anyway.....
