Indiana and Kentucky both had horrible weeks and fell out of the rankings. If the keep this momentum up maybe there is a chance we host a regional in Terre Haute. Let's hope!!
I don't understand how Vanderbilt lost to us and were swept by Tennessee and they haven't dropped at all.

UK was swept by our "buddies" down in Nashville! They've now lost 7 of their last 10...but look @ the #'s on those SEC teams...geesh!

being the premier program the last 10 years will do that for you. But yes, it's pretty frustrating to go 2-1 against a 71 RPI team and we drop a spot while other programs do far worse and nothing happens

The "playing field" of Florida recruiting has changed considerably over the past couple decades, as the once dominant control by the "Big 3 " (Miami, FL & FL St.) has been saturated by heavily- funded newcomers like FL Gulf Coast, FIU and UCF. Add the non-FL schools who raid the Hispanic private-school conclaves, and you can see the differences in roster composition today.
FSU has a great staff. The question is whether or not they're capable of adapting to the "new" Florida. Used to be that the names of Mike Martin, Ron Fraser/Jim Morris or Kevin O'Sullivan were magnets for recruiting. Not anymore...and "history" alone won't pay the bills.
Another factor is the establishment of 4-yr. opportunities @ once 2-yr. Junior Colleges throughout the state, which eliminates a # of athletes who once settled into an area, may not desire to pull up roots.
