Mmmmm… I think Bennett Stirtz would have something to say about that. Stirtz ahead of Teel in scoring, assists and steals. Not sure how he could be a “clear leader”?
Not to discredit Teel who has been absolutely going off this season.

Perhaps my ISU filter screened him out. I do agree Stirtz has been phenomenal for Drake. I have watched a few Drake games on ESPN+ and it is a very cohesive unit. I guess one Bias I have is he is playing in the same system for the same coach so while he is new to the MVC, it is a very comfortable transition for him and his teammates compared to Teel learning to relate to a new staff and new teammates.
I mean it’s a compelling case but Stirtz team is undefeated. I’d vote for Stirtz right now without hesitation and it’s again not a slight to Teel who I‘ve been saying on here for a number of weeks he’s not getting enough credit for the season he’s having. Elite ball he’s been playing for us!! If Drake falters at all and with a weak bench it’s possible Teel could very well find himself in a class of his own - but I doubt it.
Not mentioned is that Teel's EFG% is off the charts. 69%

And his 70.2% TS%, both of which are top 20 nationally. While some of the counting stats may favor Stirtz, Teel has been better. Also, Stirtz plays a ridiculous amount of minutes. Like, the most minutes in the country.
