Terre Haute Cracking down on "real crime"

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Giving food or water to feral cats that have not been spayed or neutered is now illegal in Terre Haute.

The new ordinance also increases the city license fee for an unsterilized cat or dog to $100, up from the current $25. Licenses for pets that have been spayed or neutered will cost $5.

Why are people feeding feral cats and dogs?

If they're trapping them -- I hate to see strays as much as the next person
but you don't fix the problem by feeding the strays

Next they'll outlaw the feeding of squirrels and birds. Must be the anti-ASPC movement backlash...
