Just how bad is THS? I kind of understand them losing to Sullivan for the third time in a row, but losing to Shakamak and then Casey-Whatever in the WVT, LOL! Man, that's bad and an All-Time low for the Braves. Is the combined school enrollment of Sullivan, Shakamak and Casey-Whatever, even half of South's....or even North's?

Shakamak has about 250 kids in the school, Casey has 360 and Sullivan has a tick over 500. South's enrollment is around 1200 this year.
 
As a South grad, I’m disgusted by the performance of our once proud basketball program. When I was there, we had never even had a losing season, now if they finish .500, it’s a miracle. Talent is leaving the south side for North Central, Sullivan, and Northview. Something should be done, this is unacceptable.
 
I always enjoy when the Terre Haute schools lose to the smaller WV schools. I hope Linton beats North on the Championship tonight.
 
It is Casey-Westfield. Why do so many people on this board continue to show contempt for a group of kids who come together, work hard and achieve something.

I was wondering what has happened to THS sports as well When i last lived in TH in the late 1970's THS basketball was a year-in and year-out powerhouse. Curtis Lyle Mike and Tyrone Crawford, Wil Uzzell, Mike Joyner, Jimmy Smith etc. Is it the coaching or has the talent just dried up?

I wasn't putting THEM down, and there's NO contempt involved. That's a tongue-in-cheek comment referencing how small that community is and the sorry state of affairs that THS boys basketball has become. That's it, nothing more....so STOP reading between the lines and trying to make an argument where none exists.
