Wow, 1500 student members! Sounds great. I would love to see 750 of them in the Hulman Center tonight, or any night.
 
Wow to have 1500 members, not very many of them showed up last night. I agree with those that did. What is up with the band not playing the school song? They sound great but do nothing to pump up the crowd. Fight song should be played much more often.

I'm glad somebody else noticed the band. It's hard to believe, but the atmosphere has taken a step backwards this year. It's so bright in there that I feel like I need sunglasses on and the canned and band music is really lacking along with of course the timeout games. I understand it takes money for the lights and video work and the other fluff that most programs have. But it doesn't take money to get the band to play the freaking school song when your team is playing well and forces the other team to call a t.o. Not to mention the fact they've been playing the same songs for the last 20 years. Everyone in our section has noticed it this year. Come on people, get it together.
 
They dimmed the lighting in the upper sections about 1- 2 years ago and it was much better. But like many things at ISU ----- two steps forward ..... five steps back.
The band ? ? ? They seemed to be on the upswing at points during football -- more members, sounded better. But noticed a change for the worse at points. They had some issues last year at BB games -- hardly played the school song a couple of games then.
Someone (read President and AD) needs to march over to the music dept and grab a few shirt collars and tell them to cut the crap !
