Loved the energy, the chants and the alma mater.
Also loved how you didn't rush the court but rather the players rushed you!

I am going to respond to this sometime tomorrow. I am still absolutely speechless from what took place tonight.
Tommy probably will not sleep at all tonight but I will steal his thunder a bit and tell you (because he forgot to mention it) that the students numbered 1900 tonight. That in itself is truly remarkable but not only were they there in the biggest numbers I have seen since the Bird years, they never quit making noise the whole time. The first thing I commented on when I entered the arena was, OMG, look at the students! UNBELIEVABLE. I sent a text to Lynch to thank him as quick as I could get a signal and thanked him for what he had done and told him he should be very proud of what he has accomplished. Clearly this was the "best" moment in Hulman Center since the IU game, which was the last time we had more than tonight's crowd in HC. I'll talk some more tomorrow (today I guess) and it may be hard for me to sleep tonight too. The rest can wait until later, but Sycamorelynch deserves me taking the time to give him so kudos.I am going to respond to this sometime tomorrow. I think I have finally come back to Earth after what happened in Terradice last night. Still not really sure what happened. A mixture of a large, involved, energetic crowd of students, fans, alumni, faculty. Our team playing like world beaters, not backing down from a challenge like stopping the potential national player of the year. I talked to a few people and I told them you couldn't have scripted a movie or wrote a book with a better story than what happened last night. What a great moment to be a Sycamore.
I don't know who all will read this post or not but thank you to the 1,900 students that came out. Our black Forest shirts looked sick in our sea of black. Students didn't just come out, they were ready for war. They were loud, energetic, and they were ready to will this team to win this game. Thank you to all the students. Also the community. I was told 8,400+ people in the building...wow! How cool is that?!
I will say what I'm sure everyone is thinking, I want that emotion and energy every home game. I'm excited to see what happens this Saturday. I know it won't match what took place last night but I think with the team showing everyone who came that we are a legit team doing work this season that many will take note and come back for more this season while they can. The team got a lot of people's attention on campus.
I am honored to be a part of the building blocks of Sycamore Pride on this campus. We still have so much work to do or work that can be done. Tonight just shows the reason I am so passionate in doing what I do, because I know we can make something like last night happen. My father always told me growing up if you find a job that you are passionate about and enjoy doing, then you will never work a day in your life. This isn't my career (though I would love it to be), I enjoy doing what I am doing on campus. I am ready to continue to work and make this become "the norm" at Indiana State University. We have a good core group of students that have bought into the same ideas here. It's an exciting time to be a Sycamore and if any future Sycamores are reading this, bring your excitement and energy and passion...because it's only going to get better here in Terradice!
