This is Notre Dame's new AD. A couple of his quotes:
What moves the needle at Indiana State?

We believe firmly that more and more of the operations of NIL are going to move in-house in some form of decree from the NCAA or Congress. I think that will happen sooner than later and we're going through the process now of making sure that we're ready to stand that up and move as soon as that switch is flipped because you can't take a deep breath and figure it out once the switch is flipped. You'll sit on your hands for six months while you're figuring it out. You've got to be ready to roll as soon as that happens.
So we're spending a lot of time on what that would look like in-house if that happens. If it doesn't happen, it's a work product we won't have to refer to, but I'm pretty certain it's going to happen. So that's really where our efforts are, and then I think it will, at least initially, stop short of it being permissible for universities to directly compensate student-athletes but that might happen, too, at some point in the future. Maybe it won't happen next year or the year after and maybe never, but it might and we have to be ready for it.
So again, it's kind of staying ahead of the curve, making sure we're doing the work now so when changes come and they will come in this space, no doubt about it, we'll be ready to move.
What moves the needle at Indiana State?
It depends on the school. Not every school is committed to being a football powerhouse. Different schools have different sports that move the needle.
You can't do everything. You have to prioritize, you have to be strategic…For us, our sports facilities are incredibly important, being competitive in the NIL space is incredibly important.

The Pete Bevacqua Transcript: Part I
Success in football and all the sports while maintaining and developing the top athletic facilities and tending to the demands of Name, Image and Likeness are priorities for Notre Dame. But Bevacqua still believes there’s great value in what Notre Dame’s culture offers its student-athletes.
