The schedule

Coming into this season I was really worried about the first six games, mostly because we had so many on the road. It's easy to look back on it now as if it were easy, but it wasn't. I would have been happy with 2-3, honestly. Two FBS teams and one MVC road game is not a breeze. To be 4-1 is outstanding!

We have a very tough road game this week, obviously. After that things start to fall our way, theoretically (as if that means anything when the whistle blows). Three of our last five are at home.

Western Illinois - homecoming - very winnable
at Illinois State - could be tough on the road, but certainly winnable
North Dakota State - like our chances better at home
at Missouri State - very winnable
Southern Illinois - love our chances at home

these last 6 games are gonna be tough. Looking at that schedule I would say the "must" wins (if you can call them that) are the WIU, ILS, and MSU games. 2 of those are on the road. Of UNI, NDSU, and SIU, I think ISU has got to win 1-2 of those, luckily 2 are in Terre Haute.

Here's hoping they can win all 6! But alas, we must take ONE game at a time. Focus on UNI. ISU hasn't beaten UNI since 2002, so it's high time we end that losing streak!
