The Nicks Level
New thing I am doing previewing sycamore football.
What are the three big things the trees have to do to beat wku?
Offense: play action is the key. We have to provide some sort of confusion to that second level of their defense. This is the second most athletic defense we will see all year, test their football iq.
Defense: two words, CREATE HAVOC. we have to create some havoc when they pull back to throw the rock.key players on this are Archie and jacolby if they can get in the backfield almost immediately on their passing downs we will create turnovers.
Special teams: have to punt well. That's it really, santino is doing a great job so if he doesn't punt hileman has to step it up.

Coaching wise we cannot become predictable as we were at times last year. I would like to see us take a shot on the first series attacking the safeties. Seam route to Hilton would be good

I think on O...we need to be able to run....tough task...I think we may have some difficulty pass protecting....

On D...we need to stop the run...the key players in this is hardy and young....our lb's make great plays when these guys get penetration in the backfield and make the rb on the other team make decisions behind the line of scrimmage....make the rb's make their cut behind the los and disrupt things...DT's are key to stopping the run....

I agree about the play action...

From looking at their running game, it will be much more gap discipline than stopping the power style u speak of...I think the lbs have to play smart and get up field when they can.
