Opened at 7. "If they wanted tickets, they should've gotten them earlier."
Actual quote? From who?
Actual quote from an ISU "big wig"
Pat, I didn't see you at the Hoo! Ironically, I had the same issue. I don't usually have to pick tickets up but for this game I did. On top of that, we left the bar early because I was afraid that there might be a long line and I wanted to make sure I got there to see the pre-game stuff. Although our ticket exchange was a little tricky all went well however and they were waiting for me and my experience was just fine and everyone was very friendly. (and with NO LINE at all!). We tried picking them up a 4pm and obviously, they weren't open yet.
You've heard me tout everything University of Dayton basketball on here before and I was lucky to attend yet another game Christmas weekend. No students, a cold freezing rain night, the night before Christmas Eve, and my sister apologized they weren't "full". The number? 12,400, not their usual 13,000. They do EVERYTHING right, believe me. They start a frenzy handing our free Papa John mini-pizza's among other fun things and the atmosphere is so-oo-oo much better than HC. I had mentioned it to Ron P. once and told him he should make the drive over there to see how they do it. Sorry I missed you, Pat. I too, took advantage of the pizza special (although we would have paid the regular price).I was in the back half stuffing my face with pizza.
I had a game plan for the night and it didn't work out as planned because the Ticket office is a joke and that's putting it nicely.
My buddy who went to University of Dayton couldn't believe the ticket office wasn't open until one hour before game time for a game that was going to be nationally televised.
