Brief summary from one of the local TV stations about this year's Hilltopper basketball team:

It appears that the Toppers are looking to Aaron Crosby, who's been sort of America's guest since he was in high school in Louisville. He spent last season at Illinois, until he was booted off the team for a "violation of team rules".

If you're coming down for the game, don't expect a huge crowd. We finish up final exams on the 11th, so the usual sparse student section will be thinned even more. It's been several years (2008 or 2009) since I've been to a game, but you should be able to walk up and buy tickets without any problems.
Diddle Arena is a really nice place to watch a game. I usually pop for the $15 bleacher seats and never have had any complaints with the sight lines. The facility has some age on it (opened mid 1960s, I think), but it was renovated about 10 years ago and is in pretty decent shape. The odd thing about the renovation is that they actually cut the seating capacity by a couple of thousand in order to add luxury boxes. Even with the reduced capacity, the place seldom is more than about three quarters full.
There are a couple of parking decks located adjacent to the arena. That's probably your best bet, though there should be plenty of open spots in lots along "Avenue of Champions". This link provides information about parking for football games, but it might be worth checking in case it gets changed once basketball season starts.

I've been asked a few times where's a good place to eat around here. My usual answer is "Nashville." There really aren't any memorable eateries in Bowling Green. If you don't mind chain restaurants, we've got most of the usual (at least if you're a Southerner) suspects: Longhorn Steakhouse, Rafferty's (actually based in Bowling Green), Applebee's, O'Charlie's, etc. Most of these are located on Scottsville Road (exit 22 off of I-65).
We also have a decent supply of fast food joints, including something of a rarity. Bowling Green has both a Krystal's and a White Castle (both on the aforementioned Scottsville Road). Those basically are the Southern and Northern variations on the same theme and they usually don't mix.
If you come down the day before, you may be able to get into the Corvette Museum north of town. If you remember, the floor in that building collapsed a year or so ago and the hole (or part of it, anyway) is still there as a tourist attraction.
That's as close to a low down as I can come up with off the top of my head.
